Simplify Grid Integration with Native ICCP Connectivity

Connect plant, fleet, and grid-edge data to control and dispatch systems operated by TSOs, DSOs, utilities, and generators. N3uron brings native ICCP/TASE.2 connectivity into the same operational data layer used to acquire, process, and expose industrial data, reducing the need for additional integration layers between OT data sources and external control systems.

Turn existing operational data into an ICCP-ready interface

N3uron acquires, structures, processes and exposes data within the same modular platform. N3uron maps the configured tag values into ICCP State, Discrete and Real data representations, including data acquired through OPC UA, Modbus, DNP, OPC DA, IEC 104, MQTT and more. This approach can be applied consistently across generation, storage and distributed assets while keeping each counterparty’s bilateral ICCP scope separate.

FAQs

What is an ICCP Server?

An ICCP Server exposes authorized operational data and accepts permitted control operations through IEC 60870-6/TASE.2. It is commonly used between utilities, generators, system operators, EMS platforms, dispatch centers and other external control systems.

Are ICCP and TASE.2 the same protocol?

Yes. ICCP is the commonly used name, while TASE.2 is the IEC designation within the IEC 60870-6 family. Both terms describe the same control-center data exchange protocol.

Can I add ICCP Server to an existing operational system?

Yes, provided N3uron can acquire or receive the required values through a supported interface. Selected tags can then be mapped to the ICCP model without replacing the system that provides the source data. This can cover generation plants, fleets and battery storage systems when the required source data is available through a supported interface.

Can N3uron replace a separate ICCP gateway?

In architectures where N3uron supports the available source interfaces and the required ICCP profile, the module can provide the server role without a separate single-purpose protocol gateway.

Which ICCP blocks does N3uron support?

N3uron ICCP Server supports Blocks 1, 2 and 5. These cover the telemetry, status, event and control services implemented by the module.

How does N3uron secure ICCP communications?

N3uron supports Standard ICCP and Secure ICCP. Available controls include TLS encryption, optional mutual TLS verification, IPv4 allow-listing and optional password authentication.

Does N3uron charge per ICCP tag?

No. N3uron licenses modules per node and does not impose license limits per tag, device, connection, client or user.
