By joining the Eclipse Foundation, N3uron is now part of a community of influential leaders and technology participants worldwide working to shape the future of the Industrial Internet of Things. Our commitment to advancing the MQTT standard for reliable IIoT messaging aligns with the mission of the Eclipse Foundation to provide a “mature, scalable, and business-friendly environment” for open-source specification development, compliance certification, and industry education.
As a proponent of MQTT standards and MQTT Sparkplug solutions, we will continue to work closely with our partners to grow Industrial IoT best practices at scale and improve the interoperability and scalability of IIoT solutions in various industries.
In 2020, the Eclipse Foundation launched the Sparkplug Working Group to drive the evolution and widespread adoption of the Sparkplug Topic and Payload Specification for MQTT. The Sparkplug Working Group aims to promote the Sparkplug specification use, provide implementation support, and encourage the development of interoperable solutions based on MQTT and Sparkplug.
“Today, we welcome N3uron to the Sparkplug family. We’re excited to see their future contributions to the IIoT community,” said Mike Milinkovich, the executive director of the Eclipse Foundation. “Similar to MQTT’s evolution, we see Sparkplug rapidly playing the role of de facto standard when it comes to Industrial IoT deployments. Firms like N3uron are speeding its evolution with new and innovative additions to the specification.”
Since its inception, N3uron Connectivity Systems has been dedicated to advancing and promoting the MQTT standard for the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) through its MQTT Module. With the recent introduction of its Client for Sparkplug Module, the company’s commitment to this endeavour has been further reinforced.
Executive Director, Francisco Alija commented, “We are thrilled to be part of the Eclipse family and its Sparkplug Working Group. Our experience in MQTT development will be valuable to the community, and we are excited to collaborate with our partners and community members to drive significant advancements in the standardization of MQTT.”
N3uron is an IIoT platform used by thousands of businesses worldwide. Its Client for Sparkplug Module allows deployment of a true plug-and-play IIoT solution for Industry 4.0.
